The sun shone for Birkhill’s charity open gardens day. Birkhill Estate threw open its doors to the public at 2pm today in aid of Motor Neurone Disease with Scotland’s gardens scheme. Fantastic warm weather today, it was so warm it felt like a summer’s day. This evening the roads were busy with everyone making the most of the sunshine and the warm air. I headed to Falkland hill to get this image after the sun had set behind the hill.

It was a mild but very breezy day ( you can see how windy it is by looking at Dylan’s ears!), perfect conditions for a hike up Falkland Hill to enjoy the massive views. It was a nice way to kick of autumn with a walk in our Scottish countryside.
