Well done to my dad ( D L Robertson), he won yesterday’s open test at Douglas with 97/100. Previously he won this open test in 1990, 1991 and 1992.

I helped my dad out this morning with some dummy throwing. He wanted to give his two gun dogs a bit of a refresher before Saturday’s retriever test. We’d only managed two double retrieves before it started to rain heavily.

This was taken on a sunny day at a Gundog test in Perthshire.  The labrador was waiting in line for his turn to do the double retrieve and I just happened to click the shutter just as he licked his nose.

A good turn out for the Scottish Gundog Association test at Arnot in Fife today. Dog and handlers enjoyed a variety of challenges – double, blind and water retrieves on the hillside over looking Fife, Loch Leven and parts of Kinross.

This is one of the images I captured at Logiealmond Estate Perthshire on 10th April in the sunshine. It was a perfect spring day for the spring test. I like the two body shapes , they almost form a ‘V’  adopting the same lean as the stick.
