Taking place at Auchterhouse Country Sports
Costs will be £160 per gun (teams of 4 £640) BUT £10 per gun can be deducted if paid by 31st August. For the first time there will be a Black Grouse Trophy awarded to the top gun. This will be a bronze sculpture of a Black Grouse by the well-known sculptor Simon Gudgeon and will become an annual trophy.
The costs per gun include for Cartridges (12 and 20 bore only), Clays, Supper ,Bacon Butties on arrival ,Wine and Beer.
Auction and prize giving
All proceeds will be divided equally between the two organisations for research into black grouse conservation and work in education about the Scottish countryside.
Participants in the shoot may enter teams of four or take part as individual guns.
There will be prizes for the top team (men and ladies) and top shot (men and ladies).
The overall top shot will be awarded the Scottish Black Grouse Trophy
There will also be prizes for the top team on the flush (top team excluded!!), top gun with a side by side and top veteran shot (over 75), Maybe others on the day
